I awoke unable to remember
how or why we write poems
or make these line
breaks
alerting us to another way
of reading and
seeing
now I remember
meanwhile
rainwater collecting in buckets
shone like something holy
Nigel G : lyrics | fictions | episodes
I enjoyed the poem and I agree.
“I remember
meanwhile the rainwater
collecting in buckets
seemed like something holy the poem and I agree.”

Thank you John – sometimes it’s easy to forget why we do this.

Old friends never really disappear. They just move to the shadows. It is up to us to draw them back into the light. So here I am, asking you to let me know you are alright and hoping you will please us further with your work.

Thank you very much for your kind message oldmainer. Iām ok thanks and hope you are too. Unfortunately my work seems to have abandoned me of late. I have been through this before and know you cannot force it. I hope it returns as I am quite lost without it. I take solace and encouragement in your thoughtful words though, which are greatly appreciated.
